Robert Vreugdenhil buys a hundred toasted sandwiches from his care bonus

Paramedic Robert has given half his corona-care bonus to the hospitality industry. At the end of last year all healthcare workers received a 1000 euro (1135 USD) bonus from the government for their efforts during the first wave of the pandemic. “They work hard in healthcare, but we have more income security than many catering entrepreneurs who are close to despair at the moment. That’s why I’ve spend 500 euros (568 USD) of that bonus on grilled cheese at Edwin’s establishment.”
